Luke is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan and so whilst visiting my family over Bank Holiday weekend, we decided to take him for a ride on Thomas!
At first he was not too sure, but he soon started loving it, once he got going! The ride was not very long at all, and went from Wansford to Yarwell and back again!
getting ready to get on Thomas!
The Sunday after Luke’s birthday, we decided to take the day easy and this how it was spent!
Sitting under the tree reading my new sewing book! Just look at this sky :-
Perfect chilling out day!
As you may or may not be aware, my son was born the day before my birthday! And whilst everyone keeps saying how wonderful that is, in reality it really isn’t! My birthday now seems to fade into the background, with all the attention on Luke, which is fine, but I no longer seem to have a special day! Oh dear, get out the violins! LOL!
However saying that I did still have a good day! Luke was in nursery in the morning, and in the afternoon my good friend, Cheryl popped round with this :
The most scrummy homemade cupcakes, totally delicious and the most adorable decorations, and also :
The most adorable card and tissue holder, filled with Cath Kidston tissues!
She also gave Luke and I a tomato plant and a strawberry plant and I am glad to report they are both still going strong!
I got my netbook for my birthday this year from everyone else, which I am thrilled with, and Si took me for a lovely meal to a place called Spice in Woodbridge. I was to get out and have a meal just the two of us!
So over all I had a good day as well!
On Ravelry, there was a Birthday Swap, where you signed up and got allocated a partner and then you swapped gifts for your birthday.
I got a lovely lady in the States and this is what she sent me :-
There were so many things it was amazing and the truly astonishing thing was it actually arrived on my birthday!
There were 2 skeins of yarns, lots of sweets, 2 magazines, a book mark, a card, a mug, a toy for Luke, a pin cushion and a sewing set!
Thank you again, Fuddles!
My baby is now officially 2 and I some how can’t believe it! 3 birthday cakes later, I am sure he had a wonderful day!
Some of Luke’s birthday presents, ready to be opened before going to Nursery!
