Another week over!

Another week over, can’t believe where time is going! We are getting so close to holiday and Christmas it is amazing!

My car is going well, done about 110miles so far and loving it! I am going to take it for a longer drive this weekend! I am enjoying it!

I learnt to crochet last night! Am so excited, have wanted to learn for ages and thank you to a very kind lady at my Stitch ‘n Bitch group she took the trouble to teach me! So I can do chain and treble stitch!

Bought a crochet book today and am hoping to learn some other stitches this weekend!

I also bought my first knitting pattern book today and I am really looking forward to starting something. But I am holding off on purchasing stuff till after Christmas! Need to see what Santa brings me!

So my weekend and what am I doing? Saturday I am off to try a new hairdresser, fingers crossed! Then OH and I are off the to a barn craft market to have a look around! Sunday will be chill out day!

My new car!

Here it is, my new car! I’m so excited! Collected it at 230pm today, 20th Nov and I love it!

Been driving round all afternoon!

My number plate AV56SNU stands for :

Attractive, vocal, 56, stafford (married name from April), NU for new marriage and new car!

Even though wedding not till next year, but hey ho, forward planning!

So there it is! Now I need a name for my car, so post any suggestions in the comment section. I thought of SNUKY!

Wedding planning update!

Not sure I have ever done a wedding planning update, so thought I would do one now!

All major things are booked, which is great, we are now only doing the smaller details, but still rather important!

The stationery is being constructed as I type! It is going to look so cool, can’t wait! My brother did the artwork for it and it is excellent! Should be collecting it on the 24th Nov, and then have put it all together, ready for posting the first week of Jan. Have to have that done before we go away so I can leave them with my parents to post!

Was meant to being having a hair trial on the 25th Nov and my hairdresser just rang to say they can’t do my hair on the day of our wedding! I am furious, as I had booked him last June and spoke with him in Oct and everything was fine. Then today I get the call saying no sorry, no can do! Needless to say I was not polite about it!

I am so mad! I have been going to the same hairdresser since 1999, and he cut my hair in June short knowing about the wedding! So to be told today he can’t do it has really upset me! I will never step foot in his salon again!

So I am trying to find a new hairdresser! Have a trim booked for 25th Nov, so will see how it goes!

Busy filling out the wedding gift cards at the moment as well! That is so time consuming!

Not sure what else I can do at the moment with the wedding, as most things are already done! I do know that Jan will be all systems go and very manic!

So that is my update so far!

New car update!

Well my car has arrived at VW today, how exciting! I have arranged my car insurance and fingers crossed I will be able to collect it Monday 230pm!

My brother is meant to be coming down to collect the car with me, so he can to make sure that everything is good and working etc!

This is so cool, I can’t wait!

Will post piccies as soon as I have it! Got to choose my registration number today!

Craft update pictures

Here are the updated pictures of my current projects!

The land rover picture on the top is coming on well but is really time consuming to do! But I am enjoying stitching it!

This is scarf number 2, it is coming on well and I am enjoying working on it, it is soft!

Craft update

I have been doing a quite a bit of cross stitch and knitting this week. I will post pictures hopefully tomorrow of both so you can see how they are coming on.

The x-stitch is coming on well but has loads of colour changes and is taking a while but I am really enjoying stitching it.

Knitting – I am on my second scarf and whilst I haven’t done loads it is coming on really well. I attended my knitting group (S’n B) on Thursday and once again it was great fun. Such a wonderful bunch of people, I really enjoy it!

So piccies to follow tomorrow on those.

I went to Arts Material, Hobbycrafts and Crafts for Christmas today with my family. I was a little disappointed really. Arts Material was not as big as I thought it would be and there were not alot of suppliers there. The Hobbycrafts show was so packed you could hardly move, which is always frustrating and the Crafts for Christmas was good but not really my thing.

Rating – good day out, total spend….£1 on 2 chocolate bunnies!

My new car……

I’m so excited! After my car trouble I finally decided on purchasing a new car! It is a 1.4 Polo 5dr Automatic in Reflect Silver, should be with me in 7 – 10 days and I can’t wait! I could not add all the extras I wanted as it has already been made but it has the main things and is auto, which I really wanted.

Now I need to choose my number plate and take delivery!

At last I will be mobile again. Public transport is a joke! After having to use it recently I just never realised how frustrating and unreliable it really is!

Car trouble

Monday 6th Nov, took Si to the train station in the morning, as he was off to London again for the week. I decided that I would take my car to the garage as the ignition has been playing up and the previous week I was almost stranded!

Anyway, whilst I was at VW getting my ingnition sorted I got them to check my gearbox as well as it has been making a noise recently. Not badly but enough that you notice.

So I left my car on the understanding it would be delivered back to me on Tuesday. What I did not realise was it would be the last time I got to drive my car!

The gearbox was declared dead on Tuesday and I was advised to go and talk to the engineer on Wednesday.

So off I toodle to have the talk, to discover that my gearbox was totally gone and replace it would cost £1300!!! More than what the car is worth! It is an S Reg POLO.

Decision time, replace the gearbox or buy a new car…………I test drove a new Polo and went home to deliberate over numbers!
